So, for forty years we were all crazy to think that Franco was a fascist? Or Salazar? And since when has "middle class" been an acceptable concept in Marxian political, social, or economic analysis? And just what was "middle class", in any sense of that phrase, about Ludendorff, who would have become dictator if the 1923 Munich coup had succeeded? And what group was ever more solidly "middle class," in any sense of that phrase, than German Jewry?
