I think Greg's definition is right on target.  A few other examples on
Bonapartism beyond Napoleon I & III are:

- Charles De Gaulle during the retreat from Algeria, 1962.
- Indira Gandhi during the "Emergency" period: 1975-1977.

I believe that Bonapartism is also known as Caesar-ism after Gaius Julius
Caesar.

of Napoleon B(u)onaparte?  What are its characteristics?
