* Karen Kovacik currently teaches creative writing and literature in the Department of English at Indiana University-Purdue University of Indianapolis. She is the author of _Beyond the Velvet Curtain_ (Kent State University Press, 1999, <http://www.bookmasters.com/ksu-press/ksu051.htm>), winner of the Stan and Tom Wick Poetry Prize, and _Nixon and I_ (Kent State University Press, 1998, <http://www.bookmasters.com/ksu-press/ksu014.htm>). Her essay "Words of Fire for Our Generation: Contemporary Working-Class Poets on the Triangle Fire" appeared in _Women's Studies Quarterly_ (Spring/Summer 1998). Her essay "Between L=A=N=G=U=A=G=E and Lyric: The Poetry of Pink-Collar Resistance" was published by _NWSA Journal_ (Spring 2001). * Michele Spring-Moore is a poet, journalist, and political activist from Rochester, New York. She's been active in the feminist, GLBT liberation, Latin American solidarity, and peace and justice movements since 1982. Her poetry and essays have been published in a number of anthologies and literary magazines, including _Fireweed: A Feminist Quarterly_, _Telling Tales Out of School: Gays, Lesbians and Bisexuals Revisit Their School Days_, and _Boomer Girls: Poems by Women from the Baby Boom Generation_. Her work reflects on her experiences in social movements, the coming-out process, anti-gay violence, and the experience and politics of work under capitalism, among other topics.
