This is complete bullshit! This is what people want to say to pollsters, but it doesn't reflect reality. I've been observing these behaviors since 9-11 and I would argue that a minority of people fly the flag from their car or from their home. If anything, the numbers of people flying the flag at home have gone down, while the prevalance of those magnetic car flag stickers has gone up. Still, I'll bet that if you look at cars in traffic for any length of time, most of them show no flags.
