(fwd)

In this edition of Global Business Peter Day meets an academic who was Chairman of U.S. President Clinton's Council of Economic Advisors then Chief Economist at the World Bank, and who, last year, won the Nobel Prize for Economics.

Joseph Stiglitz has recently published a book about his time at the World Bank and discusses with Peter Day some of the issues he raises in the book: his highly critical views of the IMF and the World Bank; globalisation and the effect of foreign competition on local societies; and the move from state control to market economies in China and Russia.
