HANOI: Vietnam's ruling communist party has unveiled a socio-economic plan to boost flagging exports and growth next year, state media reported on Saturday.
Revitalising exports, consolidating existing markets and expanding to new ones, particularly in the United States, were among the the objectives set out in a directive issued by Prime Minister Phan Van Khai, the Vietnam News reported.
Vietnam's export growth and real GDP growth were depressed in 2001 by the worst global recession in nearly 40 years.
