I just want to clarify that the call for economic boycott coming from Israeli academics and, in my understanding Chomsky also, is for a boycott only of Israeli academic institutions and the government itself, not for boycotting of individual academics.
I add here links to several articles from Indymedia Israel on the issue of academic boycott. I do not publish here the articles, knowing the majority's annoyance with long articles:
Why Economic Boycott - A reply to an Israeli comrade. By Tanya Reinhart http://www.indymedia.org.il/imc/israel/webcast/27741.html
THE MEANING OF ACADEMIC BYCOTT (A Reply To Tanya Reinhart and others) by Baruch Kimmerling http://www.indymedia.org.il/imc/israel/webcast/28419.html
