unhappy lawyers and social spillovers

Without reading the article let me just say that
lawyer unhappiness is not as rampant as people wopuld
have you believe.  Now, if New York is the center of
your universe, then "unhappiness, come on down."  With
that said, I would MUCH rather be a laywer than a
middle manager or some marketing schmo....even though
I likely make less than those guys.
Plus, there are so many different types of lawyers
that generalizations miss too much to be useful.
