This is a cause-effect question.

CEOs are Type As. Type As do things to the max. Thus, one would expect them to exemplify the prevailing norms as well or better than everyone else. If fitness matters to society, look for these folks to be fit. If humor mattered, they would be funny. Charming matters, so look for most of them to be charming -- even if they are overaggressive jerks generally.
