The Hague - A Dutch company is marketing a vibrator for pigs to ensure the sows enjoy being artificially inseminated, Dutch news agency ANP reported on Friday.
The MS Reflexator of the Schippers company in the southern Dutch town of Bladel is a vibrator hooked up to a sperm reservoir.
The vibrations cause the sows to get sexually aroused "in no time" and that is beneficial for the insemination, a company spokesperson told ANP.
"People use vibrators and we thought: how can we bring this to pigs? Besides, our customers are always thinking of ways to improve the process of artificial insemination" she said. - Sapa-AFP
