Almost impossible or impossible in most states due to open primary laws. As long as you collect the signatures or whatever it takes to qualify, you get to run and if you win, you get the nomination. This reality has been used by all sorts of groups, from Fulani's forces to LaRouche to the Christian Coalition.

Yeah, there will be a vicious counterattack, because it will actually threaten to take power. The viciousness of the attack will be the measure of its effectiveness. The only people who denounce the Greens today are fellow progressives who feel threatened by their spoiler role. The Right loves the Greens-- over at freerepublic.com, they applaud every Green success.
