I think we have some philosophical disagreements about the nature or rights and liberties, as well as about the Communist system (which btw did not allow holding people indefinitely - the investigative arrest was up to 48 hours, after which detainees had to be either charged or released).
However, I just got a phone call from my wife with some bad news (we have to put our cat to sleep) - so I am asking to be excused as I would rather postpone that discussion for later. I'm signing off till Monday.
