Synagogues recite prayer praising Jewish terror suspects

By Itim

Dozens of synagogues throughout Israel have been reciting special prayers in praise of suspected members of a Jewish terror group that allegedly planned a bomb attack against a girls' school in East Jerusalem.

Yossi Ben-Baruch, Noam Federman, Ofer Gamliel, Yarden Morag and Shlomi Dvir have been charged over their alleged involvement in the placing of a large explosive device in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of A-Tur.

The special prayer refers to the five detainees as "Israeli heroes, arrested by an evil regime that is merciful with the cruel and is cruel to the merciful." The text of the prayer was published at dozens of synagogues throughout the country, including Jerusalem and the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron.

Members of the outlawed Kach movement said that they had established funds to provide financial aid to the families of those arrested. So far, said Kach sources, more than NIS 18,000 had been collected for the families, "to let them know they are not alone." -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
