Budget Surplus?

The term of art is "Government Sponsored Enterprises." I believe they generate capital income by selling bonds. Don't know about equity shares. They typify the fuzzy edge of where gov ends and private sector begins. --mbs

Both of these are private corporations; yes, they have a govt. charter, but they are owned by shareholders -- don't profits they generate get distributed to shareholders?
