You accuse me of living in 1969, but it seems you are living by the metaphors of "the Good War." We are neither in the 60s nor in the beginning of WW2. My post simply asked you to take a realistic look at the US government and the Middle East in the 21st century. I reiterate that there is no ground for believing that the US war on Afghanistan and other interventions make things better for the Arab masses, whatever arguments US leftists (especially given the size of the Left today, even if one defines the Left in the broadest possible sense) make. The Arab masses don't share your fantasy, as it should be obvious to you. -- Yoshie
