Yeah. Ask him about the breadth of political discussion in even the most conservative papers in Italy and the difference in political sensibility generally.
I had an Italian cousin visiting me here in Oakland shortly after September 11. She and her husband were amazed at the paucity of political discussion of any kind in the papers here.
Her husband's father is an Italian Senator and both a socialist and a member of Berlusconi's "right-wing" Forza Italia party, so the richness and range of political identity there is something quite different from here.
