The list of Palestinians supporting this position of noncooperation with USAID is very extensive and is not in any way limited to the rejectionist left. I personally found this statement also to be reflective of a major criticism of Arafat's and the PA's attempt to work with the CIA and Bush that is appearing in leaflets in the West Bank, copies of which have been E-mailed to me in Arabic with poor translations.

In light of the commendable stand of the residents of the Jenin Refugee Camp and the position of the grassroots and national Palestinian institutions in the Palestinian Territories to turn down any grants or aid from the United States of America especially through its official USAID, we the undersigned Palestinians, Palestinian political parties and non-governmental organizations request all Palestinian non-governmental organizations to refuse any forms of cooperation with USAID and turn down any USAID direct or indirect grants whether emergency or regular, in protest of the American official support for Israel government's crimes against our people.
