The video is certainly not priced for individual ownership.

(1) Ask public libraries, university libraries, Spanish Departments at universities, Hispanic student services, and/or other likely institutions in your area to buy the video or co-sponsor a public showing of the video with you.

(2) Take some risks; go ahead and order a copy for yourself; organize a public showing; advertise well (via word-of-mouth advertisements, e-mail announcements to local activist listservs, flyering at local cultural/social/political events, requests to sympathetic college and high school teachers to encourage students to attend the showing, perhaps for extra credit, free advertisements in the calendars of events in local alternative weeklies, flyers posted at cafes, coops, college dorms, libraries, churches, stores owned by like-minded individuals, etc.) so that at least more than 100 people will come to the showing; and explain the cost to the audience and ask for donations at the showing. You can break even -- I did when I showed _Lumumba_ at OSU.

(3) Post information about the video to local political listservs, explain that your next project is to host a public showing of the video in town, and ask for help. Some will volunteer to cover the cost for you. I posted info about _Occupation 101_ to local political listservs and asked for help; several Arab Americans wrote me that they will foot the bill.

P.S. If you get enough backing from local activists and/or institutions, you can even raise enough funds to bring in the film-maker. -- Yoshie
