Don't despair.  160,000 Chomsky readers, let's say, have ten close 
friends each, and 1,600,000 friends of Chomsky readers' have ten 
close friends each....  That's not even counting those who encounter 
Chomsky or those influenced by Chomsky only on the Net, flyers, etc.
