It seems you are behind the times. The usual thing to do is kidnap suspects and send them to a place where they don't have access to your country's legal system. No trial.
The people who do this are outlaws, there is no justice that can reach them, therefor it is OK to simply bomb them, too bad about innocent bystanders. According to their own standards at least.
