In '84 I was living with a lib-Dem-femi who essentially demanded that I vote Mondale/Ferraro, since we desperately needed a female VP, 'else I'd get no trim for an extended period.
I hated Mondale. I was in my young, angry, socialist, fuck you phase. But I pulled the Dem lever, knowing that at least Mondale would carry New York State.
