And, mark my words: as the Empire consolidates and closes in on its
goals (even as chaos, insurrection and terror mount from below), and as
soon as Shrub is out of the picture, Condoleezza Rice will emerge as the
GOP's shining, effervescent candidate for President of the United
States. We've arrived at a moment in history that positively aches for
someone with precisely her characteristics to plunge into the limelight,
front and center. All the unrequited love for Colin Powell will be
redirected doubly at Condi, where it will be gracefully and eloquently
accepted, only to be transmogrified by some mysterious process into
missile silos and wide-ranging, nuclear-powered subs. All the malice and
resentment toward Hillary Clinton will be inverted into undying support
for Condi. The semi-conscious genuflection on the part of the public at
the feet of grizzled, windy, corpulent old statesmen, a paradigm already
well on the wane that reeks of the musty past, will be put to rest once
and for all. And it could only happen at this time and place under the
auspices of the Republican Party - the Democrats will drool at the
sidelines. Mark my words!

Of course, if Cheney kicks off or drops out of the picture, things could
happen even quicker.
