Saturday, September 28 Stop the War on Iraq! (Banner-drops) Time: 2:00 PM Meet at 2:00 PM at 15th Ave. and High St. (Columbus, OH) to organize for bannering at the O.S.U. game to protest the expansion of the war on terrorism to Iraq. (AntiWar Protest + Meeting) Time: 5:00-7:00 PM Location: 15th Ave. and High St., Columbus, OH A meeting will follow the protest to plan and coordinate student and community ANTIWAR activities in Columbus, Ohio. Tuesday, October 1 Opposition to War in Iraq (Amnesty International Columbus, Ohio Meeting and Event) Time: 7:00-9:00 PM Location: Summit United Methodist Church (use the rear entrance from the parking lot), 82 E. 16th Ave., Columbus, OH A video of the public forum convened by Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) on August 20th, which features testimonies from Scott Ritter (former Chief UN arms inspector in Iraq), Phyllis Bennis (Institute for Policy Studies), and David Courtright (President, Fourth Freedom Forum), will be shown; the video clarifies the status of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, how a preemptive attack would violate international law, and the alternatives to war.
