The strategy should always be to get our opponent to do the work for us. Remember: the rulers are the source of disorder.

Don't worry about bringing kids if the demo is large enough. Cowardly cops never attack large demos.

LARGE demonstrations. Same with 'direct actions' - LARGE, thousands is the key. That's what happened in Seattle, the police couldn't handle it and ended up looking like jackasses. Indeed, the cops spread their riot into surrounding neighborhoods, involving the locals. What if the police were to riot from the port into West Oakland?

Kinda like the US riot in Iraq - it will set the whole region to rioting.

No 'special equipment' is necessary.
