BICYCLE DAY
On April 19, 1943, Albert Hofmann intentionally
consumed 0.25 mg the
compound
that he had invented, LSD-25, in order to ascertain
whether or not it
was psychoactive. As the effects came on, he left his
laboratory and rode his
bicycle to his home, where he experienced the first
ever "acid trip."
