-I've yet to see any petition circulated by the self-styled -"democratic left" on behalf of those who wish to make donations to -Hamas, Islamic Jihad, etc. for the purpose of denying Israel's right -to exist as "the Jewish State."
Then I'd point you to a bunch of legal work by a range of folks defending the Islamic charities in question. A lot of groups have supported them.
Folks in the US have been contributing to a range of terrorist/resistance groups for decades-- usually connected to various ethnic groups of all sorts. I despise Hamas but I think folks have the right to contribute to them, just as they have the right to contribute to Israel-related charities.
