How's it feel...?

Strangely invigorating. --Like I have never been so happy not to fit in with the 70% in my life! --Like I should walk into my temporary Support our Troops workplace and write "SUPPORT OUR TROOPS! CELEBRATE FREE SPEECH" all over the rah-rah banner everyone is signing. --Like from his rhetoric George Bush SHOULD be an even more effective recruiter for peacenik causes that Ronald Reagan was. I could rant about the shallow fashionableness of the nuclear freeze movement while, say it, imperialist abetted wars were seething in Latin America, but I hope people don't lose their edge. --Like how different the starting place is even about nukes now than under Reagan, how much more regularized the fascism and under the surface the fascism seems now, and where the heck will this season's unexpected heroes come from?

Really gratifying to think of LOTS of ordinary people of all ages who have been radicalized by the current regime. When soccer coaches help with the metaphors for protester nonviolence training, there is truly something going on!

Jaded for myself to think I survived the Reagan administration and this too will probably mutate furhter at some point. Plus, I have become such a stick-in-the-mud that I have been going around saying Seattle doesn't necessarily need a "keep up with the Joneses" round of mass arrests to prove we have a serious peace movemnt.

Disgusting to think that Patty Murray's efforts for the Senate were the best the Democrats could come up with, and disconcerting or maybe validating to think I do not care about electing democrats. I care about politicians who can articulate what I care about.

A little unnerving to think of all the different flavors of religious fundamentalism enjoying revivals around the world and how a lot of people look to Quakers for answers but not sure the answer is automatically more fundamentalism of a different, if possibly really congenial flavor.

In case you cannot tell from the boncing ball reasoning here... confusing as heck, sometimes like windsurfing in high seas of churning propaganda, misinformation, data overload and information insufficiency.
