Their domestic front is weaker all the time, IMO.
The right slogan now I think would come from the following idea, simply stated: "o.k., the war is over, now it's time to bring the troops home. Leave the reconstruction to international bodies."
As a side note, the unfolding breach on the left, between benign colonialists and non-interventionists puts the Dissentchiks back into Dustbin City, pretty much where the anti-Vietnam War movement left them in the 70s. Fence-straddlers like our friend Nathan will reap no more than a pain in their arse.
More U.S. bullying, less attention to domestic priorities, and more interventions will stoke radicalization.
