Budget cuts of $410 million (incidentally, this is the fiscal equivalent of 3
and 1/2 days of the oiligarchy's War on Iraq). State funding down almost a half
billion dollars since 2001. Student fees skyrocket 30%, an increase of $1200 a
year. The opening of UC Merced has been put on ice. Potential enrollment freeze
until 2005.
