I remember Ernest Mandel lecturing during the perestroika days, and contemptuously referring to the Soviets, "with their petit bourgeois morality...." But an Italian journalist who'd traveled the world many times over said that the best sex he'd ever had was in Moscow & Rio (and that was mid- or late-80s).
