The Israeli policy of creating "facts on the ground" (through a consistent policy of ethnic cleansing over half a century) has to a great extent succeeded. And for practical political reasons now the state of Israel needs to be acknowledged. But does it have the right to exist? Of course not. It is bizarre to claim that a state established in the midst of another people through brutal invasion and terror, driving the inhabitants from their lands and their homes, has any "right" to exist.
For practical purposes the world needs (temporarily) to grant it the privilege of continued existence, but that is all.
