You've got some problems here, Woj. Opium is fun. People take it because it makes them feel good. It may cause problems later, but that's another story. Ditto religion. Marx said in that famous quote that it was the heart of a heartless world - there's also an attraction there. You can't take the Nancy Reagan approach - "just say no" - to either. And so with pop culture - it's fun and it feels good. Fashion included. Grim scolds like you & Carrol can denounce all you want, but if anyone pays attention to you, it'll be to have a laugh at your expense.
