Moralism of this kind... it is against the grain of Karl and Fred, no?... not that they didn't feel outrage, (see 1844 "Conditions" as a good starting point) but when used as political argument, I think they disagreed with sentimentalism... (to put it mildly)
The problem with extremely emotional arguments is that they lead to brown as well as red. Which may be what this thread was originally about...?
The emotions are not enough. And they have to be controlled by the person holding those emotions.
