What is also usually forgotten is what Iraq's neighbours want. Afghanistan's neighbours have suffered consequences of big power interventions for last twenty years. "Anti-imperialists" in the US continue to support Taliban without any consideration for the interests of Afghanistan neighbours. A large section of the US Left stands for indiscriminate support to anyone who is against the US.
