What Israel can teach the USA is not brutality but how to gather intelligence by creating and re-creating an effective network of informers; how to win propaganda victories by portraying Palestinians as "rejectionists"; and, most importantly, how to exploit and divide the already divided Palestinian movement for national liberation even further, pit one Palestinian faction against another, and conquer more land and score political victories not just during aggressive military campaigns but also, more crucially, during any "peace" process.

If the Algerian, Vietnamese, South African, and other movements for liberation had been as deeply and multiply divided as the Palestinian movement, they would not have been able to win the victories that they did win.
