the saddam capture has reopened the floodgates of crocodile tears over one form of mass murder, over another...somehow, war seems to be something quite civilized and polite, fought by philosophers and genteel types in the acceptable world of western semi-civlization, but fought savagely and brutally by "them"...

thus all this stuff about what a unique fiend and bloody monster saddam was, mouthed by raving right wing lunatics, as well as, um, polite, thoughtful, critical lefties... I've read several accounts with details of the poison or chemical attacks and they sound awful...so what the hell is war? fun? well, why couldn't he, they, perform mass murder with a fire bombing, the way civilized people like us do it and did it, in places like dresden, Tokyo, etc...or with nukes...or napalm... hmmm??

bulletin: when people are murdered, they are dead...loved ones don't mourn because of how they were murdered, but because they are dead...only people who can somehow rationalize various methods of murder can tolerate bullshit about one or another "war criminal"...every rotten, murderous bastard in this, and past administrations ought to be dragged out and hung, for participation in any mass murder conducted, with or without chemical or biological weapons...then we might be in a position to cluck and wisecrack about foreign murderers, like this guy saddam...excuse me, but i find this bullshit sickening, disgusting, and serving only to help continue the wretched, righteous acceptance of mass murder, if it's performed by the right people, who kill people the right way...barf!
