Yes, exactly. There is so much free-floating left sentiment out there that you'd almost think it's a socialist country, but it has nothing to attach to, as Greider says. The left groups I know do try really hard to work with one another, and do the best they can, but they are just hopelessly outgunned and subject to cruel media stereotypes. Heartbreaking.
