...I think it's going to be big. All kinds of people - not just the usual suspects - say they're going... Doug

Good. I have to take Saturday off work to go. I think whoever wrote they thought it was critical to turn out next weekend was right. The timing is perfect: on the heels of a probable stalling in the UN Security Council, polarization of NATO over Turkey (there goes the NATO fig leaf for Ankara), the apparent intransigence of France, Germany, and Russia. I especially enjoyed watching the German foreign minister wagging his finger at Rumsfeld last Saturday, and breaking into English.

``But actual people one talks to aren't saying the same thing as the polls. Something odd is going on...''(Doug to Carl)

The only thing I can figure out is the national poll sampling techniques must be mirroring the political demographics that privilege the more conservative Southern and Midwestern states and suburban populations over the dense urban and more liberal coastal populations. All the polls really seem to reveal is the same political division of the 2000 election results.

I can tell you nobody I know or see or talk to supports this war. So I certainly don't concede to Bush's Amerika. That's the point to overt polarization.

If the Washington Post and the al-Bushid want to claim a majority of support, fine, show us. Let's see them in the streets yelling... Kill Iraqis for Christ.
