NION has been hotly red-baited often, so much so that the RCP has issued a statement on "Revolutionaries in the Anti-War Movement": <http://squawk.ca/lbo-talk/0212/0899.html>. Just because you and Liza liked NION all right despite its link to the RCP doesn't mean that others have overlooked its association with the "Shining-Path-supporting" Communists.

Liberal orgs and leaders involved in UFP&J, too, must have a long list of speakers whom they will not invite, though their list must be different from NION's and ANSWER's. It's possible that the liberal list of speakers "not to be invited" is even longer than NION's and ANSWER's, as their SOP tends to be to moderate the tone of dissent, to avoid controversial issues and speakers, and to try to concentrate on opposition to _this_ war. -- Yoshie
