Of course I would have supported any lawyer who defended Pinochet. For
that matter, I would have defended any lawyer who defended Hermann
Goering.

This seems to me obvious from either a liberal or a marixst (or even a
Madisonian or Hamiltonian) perspective. I can't see a single legitimate
criticism of a lawyer who chose to defend Pinochet or Goering.
