Agree as I was pointing more to the historical dynamics whereby that which is reified actually settled into 'itself as itself.' How it *became* what it is - Madison + Gramsci - in order to get a handle on the current dynamics of becoming. In that sense the USA is not acting acting against Iraq etc., certain factions of the capitalist class have seized the 'sedimented structures' of 'the state' and are attemtping to jam their ontology [of death] down everyone else's throats.
