Yoshie, this email from you to Chuck is EXTREMELY revealing. You only see things in their negativity: WE ARE ALL AGAINST CAPITALISM, LET's UNITE. That is your slogan for everything.

It sounds wonderful. However, there is a problem. There are differences. People have different needs, different desires, different backgrounds, different ways of rebelling, different ways of AFFIRMING themselves.

Now, of course people should form alliances and be invited to join in common projects. Communication and a common language needs to be developed.

However, because you dont see differences you think that people should participate in your kinds of resistance. One of the problems with that is that everybody gets squeezed into a one-size-fits-all solution. The various particular interests get subsumed under the title of "masses"...and we know what happens to the "masses" under the leadership of the avant-garde...their needs and particularities get squelched, sacrificed for the need of the Party, the noble cause of socialism, (put in your own leftist cliche here), etc.

I dont find it strange or worthy of losing sleep over the lack of minorities in the anarchist groups. We all know that much of the present anarchist movement came out of the punk rock scene which was predominantly white. I doubt members of the Black Panther Party worried about not having a lot of white members, nor should they have.
