I'm with Doug. I don't know whether it makes me a libertarian Marxist or a libertarian socialist, but I see these battles over taxes and the government budget through a class struggle lense. "Soak the fat boys" as Huey Long said. Or the late great Joe Strummer: "Why not call up Robin Hood and ask him for some wealth distrubtion?"

If the budget is balanced by taxing the rich, fine with me. If deficits are created by more spending on social programs, great.
