when your male relatives all die in their 40s of heart disease, you kinda keep up on the topic. At this point, i'm just intellectually fascinated by the things one must keep up with in order to know what is healthy for you. I suppose this comes from working for too long in the food service business and watching the trends.

the Piggly Wiggly is the progenitor of the supermarket. Instead of going to the store, asking the clerk to get you some butter, eggs, flour, bacon, and lard, the Piggly Wiggly was the first to place the goods out among shoppers who could select items from shelves. This saves Mr. Piggly Wiggly $ in terms of man power.

I actually only learned about this history in the last six months. I wanted to see one on the drive south a few years ago because I always heard my step-mother talking about Piggly Wigglies. It just seemed like something one just _had_ to visit if one was going to be living in the south.

The limpdick state, of course, isn't really "the south".
