It is not the quality of performance but homogeneity. Hendrix may be a great musician, but I does not mean that Asian or African markets should bflooded with mass produced recordings of his music.

US is more heterogenous, in terms of cultural roots, than Europe, but US culture is much much more homogeneous that European culture thanks to the juggeranout of pop industry.
