And there is a good reason. Rhetoric may be good for venting frustrations, but otherwise it is hot air. If moral condemnations carried even slightest weight, US (and other world powers) would have crumbled long time ago. Left political discourse is glaringly devoid of any new ideas - at best, it is merely reacting to the initiatives taken by the corporate state, at worst - it assumes outrageous postures to piss off the parents. In that light, the proposition that the "movement" develops a broader popular appeal may not be very innovative, but at least it makes common sense. You do not want to piss off people whom you are trying to influence.
