I saw him deliver a lecture at U.C. Berkeley (in French) about the ramifications of the fact that the circle around the "C" in the copyright symbol was not closed. Belle-lettrist blather to the max. To me he looked like a classic child molester: every hair in place, but leonine. My favorite part of the lecture came about thirty minutes into his talk when an elderly french couple sitting dead center, four rows from the front, got up and walked out with the old man muttering to his wife that "this was all drivel."
