I think it has to do with fundamental difference in their epistemological assumptions. Afterall, anarchists, autonomists etc. are also among the coordinator class, as you note. I don't think it's about preserving those privileges, simply about different understandings of how to get from here to there and what there is, both of which are related to their ontological and epistemological assumptions.
