I thought that the use of patronising terms of endearment for women was something that had been removed from polite society about eight years ago? I'd certainly be on a disciplinary charge if I spoke like this to a woman at work, and so would the builders down the road. There really is no possible interpretation of "dollface" and "hon" in this context other than to indicate that Dennis is belittling Kelley's arguments because they come from a woman. I don't see why anybody should be expected to tolerate that in their email inbox. And quite apart from anything, Dennis, you forgot to remind us what a radical feminist you are in this post.
If I want my socialist rhetoric mixed with disgusting sexual politics, I always have the option of hanging round the Windle Labour Club in around 1985 (before the miners' strike, which is generally regarded as the watershed for tolerance of sexism in the labour movement in the North of England). I probably still have the social secretary's number if Dennis wants to take his comedy act there, though I must warn that Northern club audiences can be pretty demanding.
