I think Vidal would prefer the sexual norms of certain Roman circles, mixed
with a healthy dose of post-60s, pre-AIDS hedonism. He's spoken favorably of
Confucianism and favors a Republic, but a socialist one, all of which would
make Buchanan's skull explode.
